    How long does it take to get setup?

    The setup time will vary depending on how many products you have to enter and what parts of the system you are going to use. It takes a few minutes to answer the basic setup questions and then you can start adding products to your web pages.

    How do I integrate my web site with Professional Cart Solutions?

    You create an account with us, then you simply log in to our administration area, change some basic settings, add your products to the database and paste a few lines of HTML code into your web site.

    What do I need to start using the shopping cart?

    You will need descriptions, pricing information, scanned pictures if you want them (you will need to place these on your web pages) access to the internet, a web site, and an email account. If you will be accepting credit card orders, you will also need a merchant account.

    Can I buy this software system to put on my own computer?

    No. We have designed the system to be completely server based. Many functions simply will not work on your home desktop computer...for example, the autoresponder system. We have invested MANY thousands of dollars on true high-end server equipment to ensure your data is secured and the performance is optimal. Also, we implement updates on a regular basis. Desktop versions will not have the benefit of these updates.

    Do you process my credit card orders?

    Yes and No. We will collect your customers credit card information but to process the credit card order, you will need your own merchant account and a real-time payment gateway service.

    How do I obtain a merchant credit card account?

    If you do not have a merchant account we can provide you with one instantly through our partnership with www.practicepaysolutions.com or go back to your Practice Pay Solutions associate site.

    Do I need my own Verisign Secure ID?

    No, once you set up your account you will be registered under our secure server ID and their is no need for you to get one.

    How exactly does Professional Cart Solutions handle credit card transactions?

    We provide the secure server supporting SSL encryption, to collect customer information and credit card #'s. When an order is placed on your site, our system notifies you of it via email (without the credit card info). You then have two options for processing the transactions. You can either simply collect the orders from your account on our secure server and enter the credit card info on a ZON or other credit terminal, or even use the old-fashioned hand-written slips! 

    The second option is to use our Real Time Credit Gateway, in which transactions are processed at the time they are placed. This is of course the best method, as it not only credits your account immediately, but also offers maximum protection against charge-backs or invalid transactions.

    Can I upload my existing client and product database?

    Yes. You can upload a standard comma delimited text file for both your product and client database. You can also update your existing records this way as well. Go to top

    All products and services are accessed exclusively through our Account Manager and a web browser.

    How many products can be listed in the shopping cart?

    The system will support unlimited products. The basic monthly fee includes your own database with up to 10,000 records.

    Autoresponders

    How many autoresponders do I have?

    Unlimited. You can create as many different autoresponders as you need.

    Can my Autoresponder messages be personalized?
     

    Yes! This is an EXTREMELY POWERFUL feature of Professional Cart Solutions. When your prospect makes a request from your autoresponder or when they fill out a form on your web site, Professional Cart Solutions captures the name of your prospect. You can even place the name of your prospect in the subject line of your autoresponder and follow-up messages. You can also merge other data from your database  throughout the body of the messages.

    Can I insert HTML code into the body of my messages?

    Yes. With Professional Cart Solutions you may send HTML messages. You can even create and send live forms generated by Professional Cart Solutions. Data entered in these forms will go directly into your database.

    What server platform do your services run on? 

    Our system runs on dedicated dual processor Dell PowerEdge servers running Windows NT and SQL 7.0.

    Where are your servers located?

    We utilize Dell Host for our co-locations services. Dell has proven themselves to be an industry leader when it comes to speed, security, and reliability.

    Do my pages have to be hosted on your server?

    No. Your home page and product pictures can be stored on any server, anywhere in the world.

    We have concerns about the data you will be storing, what is your system back up policy?

    Data is backed up on a continual basis through hardware configuration, then again on a daily basis, data is stored in multiple locations on and off site. Back up generators are in place in case of sudden power outages.
